Male views on Victoria Secret

As you know I ran an interview to get the males perspective on the shop Victoria Secret, on my last post I put the full interview on. So I thought I would do some feedback and comment on some of the stuff that was said. I believe this would be the best way to review on what was said, as they was some useful stuff that was said.

"stuff that men would enjoy seeing on women" 

-I believe this says a lot about what the brand is and how a lot of people interpret it. How you are buying items for male enjoyment and pleasure rather than women empowerment.

I thought it was quite good that even the male perspective of the model within VS should have more body types."I think every fashion label, male or female should use plus size models because the models used are not accurate representations of your average person" Im surprised they understand that it does effect people mentally, although they still viewed them as sexy. it was good to know that males do view it as wrong that it is not showing what is realistic.and how it can lead "both males and females to constantly try make themselves look better which often fills ones head with negative thoughts and anxiety."

"they are quite petite, as in skinny. Non of them are big, like large. Just skinny."  This was a comment that was made about the VS angels and I thought it was quite amusing how they addressed that they was "just skinny" and I think that comment alone shows a lot. the models are skinny, if anything to skinny, set on ridiculous diets and fitness routines in order to get this so called 'perfect' body.

When asked for what recommendations they could have for the shop, again the idea of models came up "As for the models, maybe they should think about have more realistic models to show there products, I understand why they use the models they do there very attractive more men and women and everyone knows beauty sells well, but maybe they should think about the affect it has on us all." I think its important that this is a view that it not only coming from a women perspective but also males. As its often that women want to achieve a nice body for men, but for them to actually realise this isn't normal. Its kinda calming.
